Alright. She was here. What princesses needed saving today? Utena stood in front of the school, hands on her hips and a determined look on her face. She wore the boy’s uniform, rather than the girl’s (she made a little adjustment to the pants and hopefully that wouldn’t cause a problem), and wore it proud. She would start a new life at Tancho Academy and was determined to improve her grades! And if not, maybe make a few smart friends…
But first, she had to get settled down. Maybe a tour? That’d be nice. Or where the dorms were, for starters. Utena scanned the exterior of the school, searching for some sort of sign to lead her in the right direction. However, that method proved to be useless quickly, as she couldn’t spot a single sign. Ruefully, she began trekking the campus of Tancho Academy, her only suitcase in hand.
While the school was certainly quite a marvel with its variety of students, it was nothing Utena gawked at. Her previous school could have been mistaken for a small city. But this was a normal school. No secret passages leading to arenas. No dueling for power to revolutionize the world. She took in a deep breath. Just a normal school.
Nearby, there was a patch of trees and Utena stopped to rest against one. It hadn’t been long since she began walking but the harsh rays of the sun made all the difference. A few trees down, Utena spotted another student with about the same idea. The other students she had passed were all doing something, talking, studying, and she hated to interrupt. While this one… wasn’t doing anything. Utena made use of this situation and headed over. She lightly tapped on the shoulder of the stranger, careful not to surprise them.
“Ah, excuse me? Could you show me where the dorms are?”
